The history of Arnold GmbH
1977 from „SPESSARTGUMMI“ to „ARNOLD GmbH“
The company “SPESSARTGUMMI A. ARNOLD” in 1987 became “GUMMI ARNOLD GmbH”, which has been operating under the name “ARNOLD GmbH Kautschuk – Kunststoff” since 2010.
In the first decade, the pure rubber company developed into a company with a wide range of services in the field of polymer technology (elastomers and thermoplastics). In 1986, ARNOLD moves into a new company building in Linsengericht-Altenhaßlau and begins with single-cut ring production and die-cutting.
From a regional to an international family business
Aus dem überwiegend regional tätigen Kleinbetrieb entwickelt sich ARNOLD ab Mitte der 80er Jahre zu einem überregional und international agierenden mittelständischen Familienunternehmen. Ein neues Logo samt modernem Corporate Design macht diese Veränderung nach Außen sichtbar. Im gleichen Jahr wird ARNOLD zum Ausbildungsbetrieb.
Im Jahr 2001 findet der Generationenwechsel im Unternehmen statt. Nach 2 jähriger Entwicklungsphase startet 2008 die Fertigung von Einschnittronden für Hauseinführungen.
A new home in Gelnhausen
From 2010, a new name reflects the expanded activities in the plastics sector: “ARNOLD GmbH Kautschuk – Kunststoff” is created. Internally, the company switches to paperless order processing. In 2014, the company moves to the spacious new building at Am Spielacker 38 in Gelnhausen. Cut-to-size production is expanded in 2015 and a competitor is acquired.
In 2017, ARNOLD celebrates its 40th company anniversary and the twentieth anniversary of DIN ISO 9001 certification.
